Information on Cale
Cale Conley is a 17 year-old high school senior from Vienna,
West Virginia. Following his early successes on the World of
Outlaws circuit through 2009, Conley is now widely regarded by
industry insiders as one of America's most promising racing
talents, and a formidable competitor despite his age.
Conley's performance on dirt tracks throughout the eastern USA
is impressive. He has earned the respect of his racing peers for
his competitive desire, his maturity on the track and his command
of the race car.
He doesn't apologize for being the youngest driver on the track.
He doesn't ask for or yield any quarter from the top drivers when
side-by-side at 150 mph behind the wheel of his 1,350 lb. sprint
car. And when he makes a move to pass, he doesn't ask permission to
use every one of his 850 hp from the 410 cu.in. in his custom-built
Healthbridge Maxim to do the job. After all, his car has more power
than Jeff Gordon's.
Cale Conley is a race car driver. When he graduates from high
school in the spring of 2010 he will make it his life's work with
the blessing of his parents and his brother and two sisters.
"My family has always been supportive", said Cale. "My mom,
brother and sisters know that this is what I want to do with my
life, what I've always wanted to do, and they see how committed I
am and the kind of success I can achieve with hard work. Racing is
not some phase I'm going through. I've been behind one wheel or
another since I learned to walk. I am truly fortunate to have had
such support from my father and my entire family who have
sacrificed so much to keep my dream alive."
Perhaps his most ardent supporter is his father, Yale Conley,
himself a veteran of the ASA late-model circuit. The father, like
the son, is competitive, focused and committed to what it takes to
win. "We're fortunate to this point to have been able to provide
Cale with the best car, the best engines and the best crew chief in
the business. That's as far as money can take us, however, and the
rest is up to Cale."
